Rural women are key factors in the realization of the transformational economic, environmental and social changes required for sustainable development. The empowerment of rural women (given the large presence of women in the world’s agricultural workforce) will be the key to not only the well-being of individuals, families and rural communities but also the general economic productivity.

Young women were encouraged to micro-entrepreneurship by taking advantage of local production in our project ”Strong Tomorrows with Rural Women”. The project was carried out in many districts where more than half of the population lives in rural areas and work in agricultural fields.
